About Mrs. Valorz & Ms. McGee
Mrs. Valorz
This is my sixth year teaching fifth grade at Penn Brook, however I'm really excited to just focus on math and science this year. I studied at the University of New Hampshire, getting my undergrad degree in theatre before finishing my M. Ed. at Lesley University. Besides teaching, my other passions are the arts and being outdoors. Currently, I spend much of my time with my new puppy, Maggie!
Ms. McGee
This is my ninth year teaching at Penn Brook School. I taught 4th grade for seven years, but last year I decided to move up to 5th grade. Just like Mrs. Valorz, I am really excited to focus on reading and writing this year. I studied at Lesley University, getting my undergrad degree in Public Policy with a minor in Women's Studies. After working in the financial sector for eight years, I went back to get my M. Ed. at Merrimack College. Besides teaching, my other passions are cooking and spending time with my nieces and nephews.
Our Mission
Education is very important and we believe in valuing all students' strengths and weaknesses. Social and emotional support is just as important as academics and fifth grade can be a difficult year for students. Our goal is to prepare children for the rigor and challenges that come with being a middle school student. We work hard but have a lot of fun in grade five!
Thank you for your support and contributions to our classrooms :)
